1. I’ve never heard of the Capital City Condors before, who are they? This is a hockey club established in 2008 for youth with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. It is anticipated that there will eventually be junior and intermediate teams added to the club.
2. Who can join the team? All children or youth, six years old and up, who because of an intellectual and/or physical disability are unable to play on a regular team.
3. What about girls? Capital City Condors is open to both boys and girls.
4. What skills will the players need? No hockey skills are needed at all, particpants don’t even need to know how to skate. All that is needed is what they already have - desire to play a team sport! There are no tryouts and every player gets to play in every game.
5. How can I financially support the team? The Condors are grateful for the generous support of our sponsors! If you would like more info about sponsoring an individual player or the team as a whole, please email: info<at>capitalcitycondors.org (substitute @ for <at>).
6. What kind of help is needed? Help is needed both on and off ice. On ice many “coaches” are needed since many players will need individual assistance. Off ice there are any number of jobs to be done to support the teams
